National Geographic Kids magazine has announced that this year’s entries for its Young Artists Competition have opened, with title sponsor Bostik on board for the second consecutive year.
The Competition encourages readers to showcase their artistic talents, inspiring other kids to explore their creative potential.
NG KIDS editor, Fiona Thompson says, “The NG KIDS series of Young Competitions encourage our readers to participate in fun, interactive and educational initiatives that are designed to stimulate creativity at varying levels of age and ability. Our annual Young Artists Competition acts as a platform for aspiring young artists and provides them with the kind of exposure and prizes that will hopefully stimulate even more creative experiment.”
The competition’s three categories of 3-D Sculpture, Collage or Mixed Media, and Drawing and Painting are open to kids aged five to 14 years.
Nine winners will win awesome prizes from Bostik and Ster Kinekor Entertainment which include a Bostik Art Bag filled with Bostik inspired art equipment together with a Wii console and uDraw Game Tablet plus game software, valued at R3 700.
The school that sends in the most entries will receive the same uDraw Game Tablet//prize package plus art supplies worth R5 000 and three Art Bags from Bostik.
