The winners of the Wine Laid Bare charity photographic competition were announced at Johannesburg Wine Show. The competition, in support of breast cancer, saw amateur and professional photographers submet their interpretations of the theme in the hope that their shots will make the calendar that is sold for R100 to raise funds for Cansa.
“Since its launch in 2009, Wine Laid Bare has seen many cancer survivors participate in the competition. Once again we have been overwhelmed by the response from photographers, models, and wine loving South Africans who were willing to bare it all in a tasteful interpretation of the theme and in aid of breast cancer awareness,” says organiser and founder of The Wine Show, John Woodward.
The winning photos were submitted by Randall Spruit (January), Graphic Art (February), Robert Russell (March), Gunther Swart (April and May), Lucien Desmarais (June), Theuns Coetzee (July and August), Riaan Swanepoel (September), Pauline Nash (October), Nicholas Goldsworthy (November) and Fiona Nick (December).
The 2013 Wine Laid Bare calendar will be available to purchase for R100 at The Wine Show Port Elizabeth at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium, from 8 – 10 June. All funds raised will be donated to the Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA). Or visit www.wineshow.co.za.
