Avusa Media has announced that it is to sponsor the ‘newspaper’ category at the 34th Annual Loerie Awards. The winner in the Avusa Media Newspaper category will not only walk away with the coveted Loerie trophy, but two members of the winning creative team will jet off to an international advertising conference
With over 150 entries already received, the ‘newspaper’ category remains one of the most competitive and deserving of this generous reward for creativity in print advertising.
“Newspaper advertising remains an important part of the media mix and with this new partnership Avusa aims to promote innovation and creativity in the use of our newspaper publications,” says Natalie Stephan, head of marketing and CRM at Avusa Media.
Closing date for entries is 15 June 2012. Avusa Media, with newspaper titles including the Sunday Times, The Times, Sowetan, Sunday World, Daily Dispatch and The Herald, is presenting a limited opportunity for agencies to submit print ads which, provided there is advertising space available, will be placed in Avusa newspapers free of charge.
