people magazine, one of South Africa’s leading celebrity magazines, believes in supporting breast cancer awareness. During the month of October its signature red and yellow logo will be changed to pink and the magazine will also sport the breast cancer awareness ribbon.
The October issue which will feature this colour change features reality television star Giuliana Rancic who was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2011 on the main cover. The fashion and beauty sections in this particular issue are also themed ‘Pink’ around breast cancer awareness.
“Breast cancer is an issue which affects women in South Africa and the world,” says editor Andrea Caknis. “people magazine is a powerful brand with over 1 million readers and we aim to empower and show our readers that we are committed to creating awareness in the fight against this disease,” she adds.
