The 2013 annual AMASA workshop will be held at Emerald Resort & Casino situated on the banks of the Vaal River. Enrolments are open to anyone that would like a clear understanding to the inner workings of media planning and strategy.
Once again the annual AMASA media workshop will be themed: Media Mechanics – The Nuts and Bolts of Media Planning. The course is an intensive three day workshop that will benefit anyone in the media and advertising field, media owners and marketers.
“It’s that time of the year where some of the great media minds in South Africa get together in one place to educate and to fill in some the blanks that people may have when it comes to media planning and strategy,” says AMASA chairperson Lyn Jones, “Besides learning new skills, the opportunity exists to bond and network with like minded people.”
“We have managed to substantially reduce the costs this year by moving the workshop closer to Johannesburg. While we do not want to alienate students from further afield, it is important to keep costs down in the current economic climate.”
Lectures are held from the time that the students arrive on Thursday. After lectures on Friday afternoon, students are given a live brief, and are required to present their media strategies and plans on the Saturday morning. The course culminates in a celebration that evening where all delegates will be acknowledged.
Lectures will be given by industry stalwarts who are prominent in the media, advertising and marketing industries.
The 2013 Media Planning Workshop costs are:
R6 300 (excl. VAT) for AMASA members
R8 000 (excl. VAT) for non-members
