The Independent Agency Search and Selection Company (IAS) and its international partner AdForum.com have joined forces to introduce their quarterly top five ads in South Africa, judged by Ad Forum and the international community that it serves.
Every quarter the top five creative advertisements will be recognised and announced. Advertising agencies will need to complete their profiles on Adforum.com or register if not already a subscribing agency to the IAS.
“The aim of introducing these awards is to create a platform for the creative works of South African advertising agencies to be celebrated as well as noted by international agencies. We want to ensure that our agencies are seen to be a creative force to be reckoned with, at an international capacity,” says Johanna McDowell, managing director of the IAS.
Agencies can be nominated for the print or television commercials that they upload to their AdForum.com profiles. The first top five advertisements will be announced at the end of June 2013.
“Our partnership with the IAS allows for us to experience the level of creativity from Africa, this gives us an opportunity to showcase the true global standard of advertising from all facets of the world,” says Philippe Paget from AdForum.com.
Through their partnership with AdForum.com the IAS is now able to offer its subscribers the exclusive opportunity of being placed on AdForum.com’s 20 000 strong international database.
With nearly half a million monthly users, AdForum.com is the leading information provider focused on the global advertising and communications industry. AdForum.com gathers information on 20 000 agencies across all disciplines i.e. advertising, media, design, digital and PR and 120 000 campaigns. (TV, print, interactive, etc.)
“The IAS believes that the role of awarding individuals motivates and inspires others to rise to the occasion and challenge themselves to continue to strive for professional excellence. And by pushing the industry benchmarks and making improved global industry standards, IAS and AdForum.com are in turn motivating its members to become more creative and seek more opportunities to set a touchstone that others can either follow or choose to surpass,” says McDowell.
Entries close on 21 May 2013 and winners will appear on the both the AdForum.com and the IAS websites respectively.
