When Google surprised consumers by unveiling one of Nestlé’s key brands for the name of its new operating system, KitKat, SA’s biggest mobile airtime and rewards company TMARC was there to ensure frictionless connections for everyone.
The new Android 4.4 system follows Google’s confectionery based naming pattern for its operating systems and to mark the partnership, more than 50 million specially branded KitKat bars have been made available in 19 countries across the globe.
The promotional packs direct consumers to a dedicated site, where there will be the opportunity to win prizes, including Google Nexus 7 tablets, credit to spend in Google Play or Android robot-shaped KitKat bars.
TMARC was appointed the mobile platform activation provider for the South African part of the global launch. TMARC has worked on several Nestle brands including Bar One, Kit Kat, Smarties, Nestle Ice cream, Ricoffy, Tex and Milo as well as being a lead partner in the hugely successful Choc Fest promotion.
CEO Nick Terry believes TMARC was entrusted with providing the mobile platform for this momentous project due to its innovative and reliable system, which provides instantaneous and frictionless interaction with customers: “We are proud to be associated with Nestle on this groundbreaking project as we see ourselves as trusted advisors and partners on all the work that we do for Nestle.”
