Looking at state institutions as simply tools for business is not a realistic sentiment either. When you do that, you basically ignore the history of the country. I’m not an apologist for anyone, but state institutions must be used for the empowerment and development of South Africa. To view the SABC as a news and entertainment source is questionable, and I know you written about this issue in the past, but this particular article just does not address the other latent issues the SABC structure and governance seeks to address, such as breeding new and young talent and management, addressing the injustices of the past, creating a level playing field for content producers, film makers, journalist, managers and other professionals etc.
