Chef Justin Bonello’s reality television cooking challenge, The Ultimate Braai Master, is moving to e.tv for its third season. Hosted by Justin Bonello, the show has shattered the stereotype of what can be prepared on an open fire for two consecutive seasons. Sponsored by Pick ‘n Pay, the third season will introduce a new judge, South African born Chef Petrus Madutlela who has recently relocated from London.
“Nothing says proudly South African like this production. It’s entertaining, informative and features some of South Africa’s well respected chefs. Once the season starts, you too will be cooking in the same unorthodox and experimental fashion in your homes. This is an acquisition e.tv is incredibly proud of,” said Monde Twala, Group Head: e.tv Channels Division.
The gruelling and innovative outdoor cooking challenge features 15 braai teams competing for the title, R500 000 cash and a Renault Duster 4×4 valued at R260 000, two extra-large Big Green Eggs valued at over R30 000 together with an unforgettable seven-day guided tour of Kerala in India to the value of R100 000.
Season 3 promises to be the most adrenalin-fuelled braai competition yet, with the competitors traveling 9 000km in the new Renault Duster 4 x4 on a 60-day road trip. The top 15 teams will have a fully stocked pantry across the 13-part series.
The show premiers on Thursday, 11 September 2014 at 8:30PM.
