Publisher of The Media Online and The Media magazine, Sandra Gordon, attended the introduction of the new Broadcast Research Council and an update on the new TAMS.
The fruits of much labour were in evidence at the latest Television Audience Measurement Research (TAMS) presentation in Johannesburg.
A journey spanning almost three years commenced when the National Association of Broadcasters advised the industry of their planned exit from the South African Audience Research Foundation (Saarf) in 2013.
It ended at the results presentation today when over 200 media people listened intently to an update on the formation of the new Broadcast Research Council (BRC) and what has been done to improve not only the panel but how the research supplier will be monitored and what we can expect in terms of further improvements.
