Times Media, in its drive to maintain effective circulation of its titles and optimise reach for advertisers through readership rewards, has launched a competition for a reader to win a brand new Ferrari 458 Spider valued at R5.3m.
The national competition launched on Sunday 13 September in the Sunday Times and Sunday World, and on 14t September in daily titles including The Times, Business Day, Sowetan, Daily Dispatch and The Herald. On 19 September, the promotion will launch in the Weekend Post and Saturday Dispatch.
The competition will run seven days a week, for a total of 18 weeks up to and including Sunday 17 January 2016. The competition will run on a series of unique code numbers generated daily and printed across all the titles.
Provided readers own a cell phone and purchase any copy of the aforementioned newspapers, they can send the unique code to register an entry. Using USSD technology to facilitate entries, the mechanism is simple and accessible to all South Africans.
Six codes will be generated each week. The more often readers participate by purchasing a newspaper copy, the greater the opportunity to win the grand prize Ferrari. A single entry via USSD will be charged at R1.50.
More than one hundred daily finalists will be randomly selected, from which the winner of the Ferrari 458 Spider will be selected. Each finalist will receive a gift from Ferrari at the end of the promotion.
The prize will also include a seven year maintenance programme, as well as 12 months comprehensive insurance.
