Kris Kodrich

Kris Kodrich researches journalists’ attitudes and behaviours as well as international news media coverage. He has published research articles about journalism in more than a dozen academic journals and is the author of the book, 'Tradition and Change in the Nicaraguan Press: Newspapers and Journalists in a New Democratic Era'. At Colorado State University, Dr. Kodrich teaches undergraduate courses in international mass communication, advanced reporting, feature writing, and graduate courses in communication and technology, and political economy of global media. As a journalist, he worked as a reporter and city editor for daily newspapers in Florida and Wisconsin, and was an American Society of Newspaper Editors Fellow at The Oregonian newspaper in Portland. He was a Fulbright Visiting Professor at the Universidad de Concepción in Chile, a Fulbright Journalism Fellow in Spain, a Kiplinger Fellow at Ohio State University, and a Freedom Forum Asia Fellow at the University of Hawaii-Manoa. His Ph.D. in mass communication is from Indiana University and his MA in journalism is from Ohio State University.
