Initially joining Ogilvy & Mather, Rightford, Searle-Tripp and Makin as a copywriter in 1989, Rob Hill worked across a range of FMCG and Financial Services brands, winning several South African creative awards before pioneering the launch of O&MRS-T&M’s first planning department in the early 1990’s.
A graduate from the University of Cape Town, Rob holds a BA and an MBA degree, and has lectured on branding and communication strategy at both the University of the Witwatersrand and at UCT. Since 2008, Rob has played a wider management role, steering the Ogilvy Cape Group of companies and driving strategy across Ogilvy & Mather South Africa as Chief Operations Officer.
Rob serves on the Boards of Ogilvy & Mather South Africa, Ogilvy & Mather Cape Town, Added Value, Brand Union and Zoom Retail Marketing.
