The flagship titles in this group are SARIE, FAIRLADY and TRUE LOVE.
Liezl de Swardt, publisher of woman360, says the term “general interest’ was not descriptive of the business and created confusion in the market.
“We wanted to unify our titles under a name that clearly stated the focus of our business which is women. The ‘360’ hailed from the fact that SARIE, FAIRLADY and TRUE LOVE all focus on the full circle of women’s lives and together these three titles provide a 360-degree reach into the South African women’s market,” she says.
De Swardt adds that these three magazines were grouped together because they are all “masspirational” glossies.
As for the other Media 24 women’s titles, De Swardt says they are grouped together under a different name. “FEMINA, Lééf and PSYCHOLOGIES are published by the other half of the original Media 24 Women’s Magazines, now called ‘Special Interests Women’s Magazines’. They are published by Charlene Beukes.”
