PCFORMAT’s July issue will feature the first ever full 3D published 64-page supplement in South Africa. The innovative supplement, it says, is the next best thing to attending the annual show that is E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo) and provides readers with comprehensive insights into what took place in Los Angeles between 4 to 7 June.
“3D might not be new, but a full printed 3D magazine is likely a first for SA and the team thought it was a pretty cool way to bring the vibrant event to local gaming enthusiasts,” says PCFORMAT editor, Nicholas Boerma. “Within the hot-off-the-press pages we bring you our hands-on with 100 upcoming games. There’s full coverage of all the big conferences including Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft, along with a tour of the show and the annual G3AR E3 awards. There’s an in-depth look at the new Wii U controller and some one-on-one time with Warren Spector, the creative genius, designer and producer behind franchises like Dues Ex and System Shock.”
Panorama digital head, Dawid Venter, says though it’s every gamer’s dream to one day attend E3, “this is as close as we can bring those less fortunate to the show. E3 consisted of very early mornings and very late nights to ensure that this supplement made it on time for the July issue of PCFormat. On 9 June the supplement was completed and by 2 July readers will have it in their hands in complete 3D”.
