Moneyweb appoints SABC consultant
Lulamile Magadla has been appointed Moneyweb Consultant at SABC Radio Sales. He will drive and monitor advertising sales across the popular Moneyweb business and financial slots on SAFM, RSG and Radio Lotus.
Magadla has extensive radio sales experience and will be supported by a national network of SABC Radio Sales executives.
Moneyweb is in negotiations with the SABC to extend their exclusive content offering across other SABC stations, which reach over 26 million South Africans weekly.
702 and CapeTalk tweak line up
Talk Radio 702 and 567 CapeTalk have announced that Eusebius McKaiser’s popular Talk@Nine show will now also broadcast on a Sunday night from 9pm until midnight.
The Sunday edition of Talk@Nine will wrap up all the news and current affairs issues that listeners have been talking about during the weekend.
“Eusebius will bring to the show his usual insightful and incisive comment and analysis,” said Talk Radio 702 station manager, Pheladi Gwangwa.
To accommodate the new show, McKaiser will no longer host Talk@Nine on Fridays and overnight host, Aubrey Masango will take listeners from 9pm until midnight on Fridays.
Jaguar Land Rover SA and SSA appoints new marketing director
Peter Biven has been appointed marketing and communications director for Jaguar Land Rover South Africa and Sub Sahara Africa (JLR SA and SSA).
A consumer marketing specialist, Biven has worked on multinational brands across Europe, China, Africa and South Africa. He joins JLR SA and SSA at a particularly exciting time for the company as head office infrastructure grows, sales volumes are climbing and one of the most exciting product pipelines is due over the next five years.
“To work for two prestigious global brands of such iconic status as Jaguar and Land Rover is a great privilege and an amazing opportunity. New CEO for The SpaceStation
The SpaceStation has announced that Gustav Goosen will officially be taking the lead as the company’s new CEO.
Goosen, a leading player in the burgeoning digital industry in South Africa, has until the confirmation been acting CEO. He was previously the company’s sales and operations director and is also currently the head of research for the DMMA’s steering committee and board member at SAARF.
Expand a Sign appoint new marketing manager
Expand a Sign, an industry leader in portable advertising and branding solutions, has welcomed Sharon de Beer as marketing manager from 1 February 2013. De Beer has over 20 years marketing and communication experience in FMCG businesses, including Unilever, Pakco and Alive Marketing.
She is responsible for the development and implementation of marketing strategies for the Southern Africa region in line with Expand a Sign’s organisational objectives.

New staffer appointed at marcusbrewster Jhb office
Michelle Raphiri has been appointed as candidate PR in the Johannesburg office of communications firm marcusbrewster.
Raphiri interned at Coca-Cola whilst completing her studies in Public Relations at Varsity College and has also worked on projects for Kungwini Welfare Organisation and The Smile Foundation. A member of PRISA, Raphiri has completed a Toastmasters course in Public Speaking.
