The 100th issue of City Press iMagazine will hit the shelves in this Sunday’s edition of South Africa’s thought-leading weekend newspaper. To celebrate this important milestone the special issue’s cover features an eye-catching collage of every cover to date.
“It’s a visually striking representation of the diverse, dynamic content on which iMagazine has built its success.” New Media Publishing produces iMagazine on behalf of City Press,” says Bridget McCarney, managing director of New Media Publishing.
Inside, the focus is on three previous cover stars who got people talking – albino fashion muse Thando Hopa, community-minded rapper HHP and Jozi’s favourite It-Girl, Bonang Matheba.
Editor-in-Chief Elmari Rautenbach says this 100th issue is a celebration not just of the publication, but also of those who read it. “The initial inspiration behind the creation of iMagazine was to provide City Press readers with a lifestyle publication that truly speaks to their interests, who they are and who the aspire to be. The creative brief has been easy to follow – keep it interesting, relevant and stylish – because it’s how we approach the content conception of all of the lifestyle magazines we publish for various clients,” says Rautenbach.
