According to heat editor, Melinda Shaw, Cassie Booyse (the real man behind the craze) “moved pages around, he wrote comments in the margins, he had a few things to say about the fashion pages (quite rich coming from him), carried around the editorial assistant and played some ping pong”.RR
When asked why heat decided to invite Koekemoer to be involved in its latest issue, Shaw said, “Cassie is such a good sport and he loves entertaining people”. R
“Those are all qualities he shares with heat, so having him involved as heat’s first ever guest editor was a no-brainer for me.”R
Shaw says she is very happy with Koekemoer’s contribution to the magazine, “When I retire he’s got the job.”
