The f-word rant inspires 1Time and now EWN too

Eyewitness News has responded to the furore created by the foul-mouthed ‘wage slave’, Mark Esterhuysen, by recording an ad for Primedia’s news stations that utilises another ‘f-bomb’.

The EWN f-bomb hit the airwaves late on Thursday afternoon. “Eyewitness News has noticed the interest that has been generated by Tuesday’s 1am ‘F-Bomb’ bulletin.In response, they have issued a statement full of f-words of their own,” said a statement from Pippa Rowles.

The EWN followed hard on the heels of airline, 1Time, whose ad agency saw a gap, and capitalised on it within 24 hours, and watched as their creativity saw the ad go viral.

Ad agency Da Vinci Edison Bell Advertising Boutique had a brainwave after listening to former Talk Radio 702 newsreader Mark Esterhuysen’s rant in the early hours on Tuesday morning.

His 45-second f-word infused tirade inspired the team to parody it, on behalf of one of its clients, the airline 1Time.

They then pitched the idea to the CEO. “The 1time CEO himself gave approval yesterday afternoon and we recorded it within the hour – 1time LOVE it!” the team told TheMediaOnline. “The ad is purely viral and is spreading like wildfire. Within one hour of client approval we had recorded it and sent it!”

“F-high airfares! F-no leg room! F-high airport taxes!…” and so it continues…
