Briefly…DStv and e.tv both win at PromaxBDA Awards
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

DStv’s ‘making memories’ TV commercial won a gold award at the PromaxBDA International Awards while e.tv scooped the bronze for its integrated marketing campaign, ‘e is for everyone’. The PromaxBDA Awards honour the best in design and marketing work from advertising and promotions agencies from around the world.

“We are exceptionally proud to have received a PromaxBDA gold, and are particularly thrilled that this advert was selected, as we believe it really showcases the power of DStv (and TV as a medium) to entertain, inspire and delight,” says DStv’s chief marketing and sales officer, Simon Camerer. “The advert tells a simple, heart-warming uniquely South African story that has universal appeal.  We are glad it resonated well with our international peers. It establishes DStv’s place in the evolution of entertainment in a sincere and natural way.” DStv’s retrospective promo, “the Brothers Streep”, also won two silvers at the event.

Monde Twala, e.tv’s channel head, said the station had a “world class” creative services team. “The channel is committed to drive content that appeals to all South Africans, this means our brand position needs to be relevant, fresh and exciting. e.tv continues to strive for innovation across all levels, including our marketing endeavours,”
Twala said.  “To be placed among the top creative minds worldwide once again is a no small feat, and we salute our talented team of individuals who deliver only the best each year.”
