The ABF Cape Town golf day which was recently held at Milnerton Golf Course was a great success and has raised much needed funds for the ABF.

“We had a full field and were well supported by the advertising and media industry,” says Sharlene Vallance, Fundraiser for the ABF. “We even had agencies without golfers who still sponsored holes or fourballs. It was really wonderful to see the support and the generosity of companies in the Cape Town area. The event has grown in stature and in strength due to the commitment of the Cape Town industry.”

The golf day is now in its second year and will be hosted again in 2014.  Chris Brewer delighted the crowd with anecdotal stories and proved to be a wonderful and most capable MC. All the photos of the event are on www.facebook.com/ABFSA for downloading and sharing.

Most of the ABF’s cases that we support are in Cape Town so for us it is a long term plan to get the Cape Town committee up and running again. We have had a very promising response and are planning three events for the Cape next year. We encourage the industry to get involved in the ABF and to use their skills in event planning and fund raising to benefit the cause.”
