The IAB SA is, for the first time, inviting the digital industry to comment on the revised entry categories for its annual Bookmark Awards, South Africa’s digital marketing and media industry’s most coveted awards that reward excellence in creative digital advertising and publishing work. Entries for the awards are due to open during September

“The Bookmark Awards are an industry initiative, run by the industry body. As such we at the IAB SA see it as something that belongs to the digital industry as a whole, and are therefore asking our members to comment before we finalise this year’s categories,” says Jarred Cinman, IAB SA Chair.

He says that with a record number of entries for last year’s awards, the IAB SA is expecting the awards to keep going from strength to strength – along with the digital medium.

“The proposed categories have come about after much consultation and feedback from within our councils, as well as from feedback received after this year’s show. Ultimately the Bookmark Awards continue to stand for what it always has: excellence in digital publishing and marketing, with a strong emphasis on results. Overall, we are happy with our categories and focus, but in a fast-moving medium such as digital you have to keep evolving. We would like the community’s input to play a role in that evolution.”

Cinman believes the industry’s comments will assist the IAB SA in finalising the best lineup of categories in the history of the awards.

Comments can be submitted to info@iabsa.net until 1pm on Friday 4th September 2015.
