The media professional and the elephant orphanage
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

While the title of this post may point towards a work of fiction, about a media professional who leaves the industry and buys and runs an elephant orphanage, the tale attached to it is as true as it is interesting.

Sandra Gordon, CEO of Wag the Dog Publishers, recently attended the CNN MultiChoice African Journalist Awards held in Nairobi, Kenya. While she was not at the awards and networking with media professionals from across the continent, she got the chance to visit SuperSport’s studios in the Kenyan capital as well as an elephant orphanage. Here are some of the pics from her trip:

Rhino also inhabit the David Sheldrick orphanage

Visitors to the orphanage can also feed giraffes

The orphanage also offers interactive experiences with the elephants
