Hot 91.9FM Awards won:

Hot 91.9 FM`s Big Joburg Drive presenter Simon Parkinson scooped the Afternoon Drive Presenter gong at the 2018 Liberty Radio awards last night. Hosted by Simon Parkinson along with sports honcho Dylan Rodgers, Hot 91.9FM`s Big Joburg Drive raced away with the Afternoon Drive Show award at the 2018 Liberty Radio awards last night. Don`t miss Big Joburg Drive, there’s not a dull moment!

HOT919 – LIBERTY ENTRY 2018 – BEST SPORT SHOW – JOHN WALLAND

It takes a special kind of presenter to keep tabs on the mercurial world of sport. When not rounding up the sports results every morning on Hot 91.9FM`s Hottest Breakfast Show, John Walland can be heard presenting “Hot Sports”, this year`s Liberty Radio Award winner for Best Sports Show. John`s passion for all things sporty is well known and he brings his unique in-depth knowledge and flair to the show with selected interviews on relevant topics with top sporting personalities.

HOT919 – LIBERTY ENTRY 2018 – BEST STATION IMAGING – WILLIAM SCOTT

Besides being an ace content producer, he is also responsible for audio production on the show and the station as a whole . With years of experience, William is our go-to-guy when it comes to anything production and content related.

INDUCTIONS INTO THE LIBERTY RADIO AWARDS – KEVIN SAVAGE AND LLOYD MADURAI:

A radio man of distinction, Lloyd has used his vast knowledge and passion for radio to build a radio station which has grown into a favourite for listeners throughout South Africa and the world. At the age of 40, Lloyd Madurai has achieved more than most in the radio industry, in fact some might call him an over-achiever, with a career in radio spanning 27 years.  Lloyd Madurai made headlines in KZN as the youngest DJ, at age 17, to host his own radio show and to date he still holds the unofficial record for the youngest DJ on commercial radio in SA to be awarded a contract with a commercial radio station.  Lloyd now becomes the youngest inductee into the Liberty Radio Awards Hall of Fame, a recognition richly deserved.

The second inductee is the legendary Kevin Savage. The `Sav` as he is known, is an institution in radio, blessed with a voice like honey and a deep musical knowledge he rocks and pops the Hot airwaves daily.

Hot 91.9FM also walked away with the three big Wins of the evening as:
