The ABF Vital Support Fund is hosting its much anticipated annual Crazy Golf Day on 27 November at the Kyalami Country Club. This year, batten down the hatches for Pirates of the Golf Course – On Stranger Greens.
Sail into the past, when Jack Sparrow and Blackbeard dominated the high seas and dress up your merry crew. Fourballs cost a mere R3000 and include green fees, dinner and the promise of treasures. Scurvy knaves can make bookings at ramming speed with val@abf.co.za
“The ABF Crazy Golf Day has become a South African media, advertising and marketing institution and if the initial interest is anything to go by, this year’s event should not be missed. Bring ye wooden legs, ye eye patches and pirate hats to join in the merriment,” says President of the ABF, Alexander Leibner.
The ABF’s Crazy Golf Day hole sponsors will be tasked with recreating the Pirate era and insuring that none leave ‘unscathed’, with the best hole taking home the coveted trophy. As has become tradition, Fourballs will be asked to perform a one minute activity that will ensure them a mark out of 10 at each hole. There is a R5 per person price to pay at each stop.
“I am particularly excited to see newcomers to the ABF getting involved and existing brands leveraging the event to network, gain exposure and have loads of fun while giving back to the industry,” he says, “The ABF, however, accepts no liability or responsibility for anything that happens on the day, in the lake, or at the after party – it’s every buccaneer for themselves!”
There are prizes for the most successful Fourball and Best Dressed Fourball. So hoist the Jolly Roger, put on your golfing gear and splice the mainbrace!
“Our crew looks forward to welcoming back all those who have supported the ABF in past years and we invite all newcomers to the industry to get involved as soon as possible. It’s critical that the Pirates of the Golf Course give the ABF fund a head start for 2013.”
