Apple’s iPhone, Time‘s Invention of the Year, is in the top spot on this list. The “genuine handheld, walk-around computer” is also on the list of most popular news searches in 2007.
Other search terms on the list of fastest climbers are the virtual worlds //secondlife.com, //www.webkinz.com/, //www.webkinz.com/, //www.clubpenguin.com/, and //www.ebuddy.com/.
Online related search terms on the list of those that have lost favour include the peer-to-peer file sharing site //www.kazaa.com/us/index.htm and the online community //www.xanga.com/
In the USA an online related term made the top three on the list of most popular “What is…?” questions web surfers asked Google. “What is RSS (Rich Site Summary of Really Simple Syndication)?” was the third most popular such question. The most popular was: “What is love?”, followed by “What is autism?”.
