CNBC Africa launches African Trends at WEF on Africa
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

The World Economic Forum on Africa kicks off in Cape Town today and CNBC Africa has taken the opportunity to distribute its magazine, African Trends, at the Forum.

The channel – the biggest business, finance and markets channel on the continent – believes its annual coverage of this event deserves to be shared in the pages of an exclusive magazine. The magazine is published by Panorama Publications.

Urs Honegger, managing director of Panorama Publications says “We are proud to be associated with CNBC Africa and the publication and we believe that African Trends is a flag for the WEF on Africa and holds true to the forum’s 2011 theme – From Vision to Action, Africa’s Next Chapter.”

African Trends is a publication that shares the views of Africa’s captains of industry who are at the forefront of change and development, with their thoughts on challenges and opportunities facing the continent.

The pages are a collection of personal opinions with a range of views from government, business and journalists who are either recording or partaking in the growth wave that is transforming Africa.

“The intention is to build this magazine into a comprehensive manual for strategic thinking as a prelude to the annual economic forum,” said Gary Alfonso, managing director of CNBC Africa.

African Trends will be distributed to delegates attending this year’s World Economic Forum on Africa in Cape Town.
