The entertainment line-up at this Saturday’s not-to-be-missed DStv Delicious International Food & Music Festival, presented by Nedbank just got hotter with the addition of chart-topping UK jazz funk band Shakatak.

The festival has now relocated to Huddle Recreation Park in Linksfield. An advantage of the new site is that there are no sound restrictions at the venue which is expected to attract thousands of partygoers and lovers of good food.

Shakatak joins the international line-up of Queen of Funk Chaka Khan, global dance music legend Louie Vega and Drizabone alongside local music acts Vusi Mahlasela, Muzart, The Muffinz and DJ Unathi Nkayi.

The DStv Delicious International Food & Music Festival, presented by Nedbank, was scheduled to take place at nearby Waterfall Polo Estate in Midrand.

“Unfortunately new sound and site restrictions were imposed at the previous venue which means that Delicious would not be able to provide the promised entertainment and experience that audiences have come to love and expect. And given that this week we were due to announce the surprise (and fourth) international act, Shakatak, we knew we had to move to a bigger location. We can now offer more parking in a bigger venue with easier access,” says organiser Lloyd Cornwall.

“We are doing our utmost to ensure that our move to Huddle Recreation Park is as seamless as possible. We will have staff at the previous venue in Midrand in case we do not reach all festivalgoers who have already purchased tickets. We will also provide transport between the two venues.

While there’s plenty of sizzling entertainment, there’s also an even bigger focus this year on food and all things culinary. The Delicious Restaurant will be hosted by Celebrity MasterChef SA judge Pete Goffe-Wood with food demonstrations by Food Network celebrity chefs Reza Mahammad, Siba and Jenny Morris.

The DStv Delicious International Food & Music Festival, presented by Nedbank takes place on Saturday, June 6, at Huddle Recreation Park, Club St, Linksfield. Gates open at 10am. So whether you are a foodie or a muso get your tickets and get ready for SA’s biggest food and music extravaganza. Tickets are now on sale from www.ticketpro.co.za.

General Access Tickets:
R450 per person

Delicious Lounge Tickets (Cashless environment)
