Newsflash: Sam Cowen to join Hot 91.9fm Hottest Breakfast
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Radio legend Sam Cowen is joining Sasha Martinengo, John Walland and Simon Hill as part of Joburg’s Hottest Breakfast on Hot 91.9fm, weekdays from 6am – 9am.

Cowen is no stranger to morning radio in Johannesburg and played a pivotal role on The Rude Awakening for a number of years, one of Joburg’s most popular breakfast shows.

“Sam’s life experience, backed up with her fun personality, will complement the already successful morning show on Hot 91.9fm,” said Hot 91.9fm programme manager, Tony Murrell, in a statement.

On her comeback to radio, Cowen said, “I am very excited to be joining the Hot family and especially the Breakfast Team. I listen every morning anyway and now I get to be a part of a really funny awesome team with a big heart.”

Cowen joined The Media Online’s video series, TMO Live to open up about her memoir, From Whisky to Water back in October 2016. Here’s that conversation:
