Three Al Jazeera correspondents from TV and online will be across Zimbabwe covering the elections and reaction as President Robert Mugabe attempts to beat his challenger and current Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai today.

Zimbabwean Haru Mutasa will be reporting from Harare, following Robert Mugabe’s ZANU-PF, while Mohammed Adow will be in Bulawayo, southern Zimbabwe, covering Morgan Tsvangirai’s Movement For Democratic Change. Al Jazeera’s online producer Azad Essa will be in Harare finding out from ordinary voters on what the election means to them in the days leading up to the election.

The Al Jazeera team will report on key electoral issues such as the economy, black empowerment, the legacy of Robert Mugabe’s 33-year rule and the future of Zimbabwe. Al Jazeera will speak to ordinary citizens on their hopes and concerns for the future of Zimbabwe.

As social media will be playing a key role in the elections, the hashtag #Zimdecides will be tracked by the online team and Al Jazeera’s social media programme The Stream, who last week had a programme on the Zimbabwean elections.

The Twitter handles of Al Jazeera journalists in Zimbabwe are @harumutasa, @Moadow, and @AzadEssa.
