Sunday Times Books has released Pieces of the Puzzle: Oscar Pistorius and Reeva Steenkamp Part One: The Killing. The book includes a wide array of media accounts from the Sunday Times, providing a background to the shooting and subsequent gathering of evidence that will feature in South Africa‟s ‘Trial of the Century’ which is set to start in March 2014.
Written by Laurie Claase and published in partnership with Art Publishers, the book takes a closer look at the story that made global headlines. On Valentine‟s Day 2013, Oscar Pistorius, the double-amputee poster boy for the London Olympics of 2012, killed Reeva Steenkamp, his model girlfriend. For a week that February the world was united in an outpouring of shock, pity and disbelief.
Pieces of the Puzzle marks the launch of a Sunday Times book publishing division which is spearheaded by Ben Williams. “We are exceptionally excited about the launch of this division. We now have a platform to put some of the Sunday Times award-winning journalism into book form,” said Williams.
