Corey Martin is a lecturer in the Department of Media and Communication at Swinburne University. She also teaches master's students at the University of Melbourne in advanced journalism courses, specialising in audio. Her podcast, Maiden Australia, is entirely self-produced and extends from her PhD research, which explored remarkable women in Australian history, why their stories are so often neglected, and how new digital technologies like podcasting can recalibrate history in a more inclusive and diverse way. Before moving into university teaching, Corey worked as a copywriter, producer, and announcer in both commercial and public service radio.
