Lee Scott

Lee Scott is Subject Leader of Creative Computing at Bath Spa University and a creative researcher with a specialism in digital opera. His work is transdisciplinary in nature, combining songwriting, animation, games, and performance art with computer science and software development.

Lee's research examines the collision between opera and digital media, and he is approaching completion of a PhD in this context. Contributing works include The Village (Scott 2015), a participatory opera for the web that evolves across 5 weekly episodes, and The Imaginary Voyage (Hugill, Scott, Lawrence 2013), an interactive online work developed during an sKTP with The Opera Group that exploits principles of the semantic web to guide the user through a repository of audio and visual materials. His current project, Fragments, extends opera into locative media, and considers film and headphone targeted music/sound design as a way of situating the user in a fictional past.
