Sandra Roberts is the Writing Unit Manager of the Institute for the Advancement of Journalism, having been a media analyst for over seven years with and a researcher for over 10. She is passionate about media freedom and the role a free media plays in democracy. She has her masters cum laude in Sociology, and is currently completing her doctorate at the University of Johannesburg. As a writer, she has a range of peer-reviewed and non-peer reviewed articles published, as well as also authored, co-authored and/or edited of numerous research reports and analytical pieces.
