Sarah Hentges is an Assistant Professor of American Studies and teaches a variety of classes in American studies, English, and Women's, Gender, and Sexuality studies including introductory classes in these areas as well as upper-level classes in cultural criticism and theory; intersections of race, class, gender and sexuality; girls and girlhood; Hip Hop; fitness; YA dystopia and more. Sarah regularly presents her work at national and regional conferences and has published a range of work in academic journals and the popular press, including her two books: Women and Fitness in American Culture (2013) and Pictures of Girlhood: Modern Female Adolescence on Film (2006) as well as her website www.cultureandmovement.com. .
