Unathi Kondile is the winner of the British Council Young Creative Entrepreneur (YCE) - Culture Award for 2014. He is the publisher of a monthly national Xhosa newspaper called iSigidimi.
Kondile is a graduate of the University of Cape Town and holds a BA Film and Media Production - Print and Radio Production as well as a Masters in Media Studies. He now heads up the drive to launch vernacular newspapers at Independent Media.
