    I’m not surprised the print media is on life support and struggling to breathe when everything you read has already been published on the net at least 24 hours previously and most newsrooms are lucky to have more than two overworked journalists to rub together … I cannot remember when I last read a good scoop in a print edition … perhaps 10 years ago? And even then, that’s pushing it …

    The content in the English dailies and weeklies served up by IOL is execrable – old, tired and poorly written and their website is the same – disgraceful really when you consider the scope of this platform. Even more disgraceful are the profits the media owners of these rags continue to rake in thanks to their faithful advertiser.But I suspect the digital age will change all of this when advertisers realise the power to reach their customers is in their hands.
