Bicycling South Africa has been awarded the position as the official media partner for the UCI MTB and Trials World Championships. This is the first time that the championships event – which takes place at Cascades in Pietermaritzburg, from 26 August to 1 September – will be held on the African continent.
“This is undoubtedly the biggest mountain-bike event of the year, and we are thrilled that the organisers have elected to partner with Bicycling South Africa to help promote the event to as wide an audience as possible,” says Bicycling editor Mike Finch.
Bicycling South Africa will produce a special spectators’ guide for the July/August edition, detailing who and where to watch, the full programme, and profiles of the great riders – perfect for all those fans travelling to Pietermaritzburg, and for those watching the action on television.
Bicycling is South Africa’s biggest-selling cycling magazine, and celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2013.
