ANN7 has announced that Nicole Scherzinger, American recording artist (one time member of the Pussycat Dolls), actress and television personality will be performing live at the inaugural ANN7 South African of the Year awards night. She will perform along with the top South African artists such as Lira, Mafikizolo, Zahara, MiCasa and Junior Mambazo.
Scherzinger the former lead singer of the popular group The Pussycat Dolls, which released a number of hit albums, also won season 10 of Dancing with the Stars (2010). She released her long-delayed debut solo album, Killer Love (2011) and returned to acting with a role in Men in Black 3 (2012).
Throughout a career spanning 13 years, she has sold 16 million records as a solo artist, and a further 50 million with Pussycat Dolls making the group one of the best-selling girl groups of all time. This month she released another solo album ‘On the rocks’ which is already making news worldwide.
The inaugural ANN7 South African of the Year 2014 Awards takes place on 6 September 2014 and will celebrate extraordinary South Africans in a number of categories.
