The Cape Town City Bowl’s favourite charity booksale, Wola Nani, returns to Gardens Centre from Monday 27 April. The NGO’s pop-up fundraiser will run for nine days until Tuesday, 5 May. Wola Nani’s legendary book sale is a curated event offering not just current best-seller fiction but also cult, classic and covetable tomes for bibliophiles, collectors and passionate readers.

This year, there are strong showings of Art books, Architecture and Design, Children’s, Armchair Travel, Esoteric, Business, Poetry & Plays, Historical Fiction, Vintage Detective, Contemporary Crime and Thriller, Sci-Fi, as well as Biography and Non-fiction including Feminism, Philosophy, History, SA Current Affairs and Popular Science. Devotees of quality fiction will be well catered for with a wide range of Pulitzer, Booker and Nobel-prize winning authors.

Equally impressive is the NGO’s selection of hard-to-find CDs and DVDs for movie and music enthusiasts.

The Wola Nani pop-up charity book sale is staged on the upper level of Gardens Centre outside Truworths Man and opposite the parking pay machines. The sale runs daily from 09:00-19:00 (Monday – Friday), 09:00-17:00 (Saturdays) and 9:00 – 14:00 (Sundays).

Wola Nani (Xhosa for ‘embrace’) is a non-profit organisation established in 1994 devoted to helping people living with HIV and AIDS to help themselves as well as to bring relief to the communities challenged by the HIV crisis.
