We’re live! MOST Awards 2017 voting starts now
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Voting for the 9th annual MOST Awards is open and will continue until 30 June 2017. To access the new and improved online survey click here, or go to The Media Online and look for the ‘Click here to Vote’ button at the top of the homepage.

The overall goal of the MOST Awards is to motivate media owners and media agencies to improve their businesses through service performance. Media agency employees are invited to rate the performance of the media owner sales teams with whom they have frequent contact, and vice versa. The lists of participating companies are compiled after comprehensive consultation with the industry. Countrywide focus groups with top media professionals are held each year to ensure that the lists and criteria are fine-tuned and updated to best reflect the current state of the industry.

The MOST Awards survey asks respondents to select the companies that they wish to vote for and requires that they are scored against a number of specific performance criteria. Companies are then ranked according to this data. The winners will be announced at the MOST Awards ceremony on 14 September 2017 at The Wanderers Club in Illovo, Johannesburg.

Three reasons to vote

  1. To celebrate excellence and encourage growth in the South African media sector.
  2. Your vote counts, the more votes in the MOST Awards survey, the bigger the sample size and therefore the more robust the research results.
  3. Ultimately better service, communication and delivery levels rub off on clients who apportion a large chunk of their marketing budgets to advertising in media.

“An independent and flourishing media is vital to keep democracy afloat and it is important to recognise the people in the engine room who keep the ship moving forwards. There is always a sense of anticipation and great excitement on the day that the winners are announced, but the research also has another layer. Many successful agencies and owners have bought the research and benefitted from the in-depth insights and trends. It is always rewarding to see the level of participation and enthusiasm for the MOST Awards,” says Sandra Gordon, CEO of Wag the Dog Publishers and founder of The MOST Awards.
