Dr. Angelica Kalika is an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Department of Journalism. She holds a BA in Psychology from UC Berkeley (2006), an MA in Newsgathering from the University of Colorado (2012), and a PhD from the University of Colorado Boulder (2019). Specializing in alternative media, her research delves into satire, digital journalism, and local broadcasts that challenge traditional news norms. Dr. Kalika’s ethnographic work investigates the boundaries of journalism and the impact of social media on news practices.
