Dr Bongephiwe Dlamini-Myeni: A Lecturer in the Department of African Languages and Culture, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at University of Zululand, South Africa. At the undergraduate level, she majored in Community Development and IsiZulu. She then narrowed her interests to IsiZulu during the three postgraduate levels. Her speciality during Honours and master’s degrees was Onomastics (the study of names). She then diverted to Literature during doctoral studies. Her research interests are Onomastics, Sociolinguistics, Language, and IsiZulu Literature. She has published in local and international journals on onomastics, sociolinguistics and literature.
