Julie Posetti (PhD) is the Global Director of Research at the International Center for Journalists (ICFJ). She is also a Senior Researcher with the Centre for Freedom of the Media (CFOM) at the University of Sheffield, and Research Associate at the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism (RISJ) at the University of Oxford. Previously was Senior Research Fellow at RISJ where she led the Journalism Innovation Project.

Jackie Harrison is UNESCO Chair in Media Freedom, Journalism Safety and the Issue of Impunity, Professor of Public Communication and Chair and co-founder of the Centre for Freedom of the Media (CFOM) at the University of Sheffield, UK.

Silvio Waisbord is Director and Professor in the School of Media and Public Affairs at the George Washington University. His most recent books are Communication: A Post-Discipline and The Communication Manifesto, both published by Polity Press. He has published close to 200 articles on investigative journalism, media scandals, communication studies, media policy, and global social change in academic journals in several languages.
