I am currently a lecturer at the University of the West of Scotland and am progressing to postdoctoral studies after completing a practice-based PhD in Mobile Journalism in 2021. Over my six years working in higher education I have been course leader for BA Journalism and Sports Journalism and have also completed a post graduate certificate in Teaching and Learning while becoming a HEA fellow.

I have presented my research in digital and mobile journalism at the UK Media Education Summit, the World Journalism Education Conference and at Association for Journalism Education events. Prior to and during my time in academia I have worked for regional and national media outlets as as a broadcast journalism with TV and Radio outlets in America, India, Iraq, Ireland and across the UK and am presently a freelance on-screen journalist with ITV reporting in Scotland and England.
