Michael Lees-Rolfe

Michael began his career at Ogilvy cape town as an Art Director in 2003 and over the next 7 years contributed in raising the creative momentum of the agency significantly, winning accolades at One Show, Loeries and D&AD.
in 2010, Michael took a creative director role at FoxP2 Cape Town and has been instrumental in evolving the agency into a fully integrated, creatively led company, while still retaining the garage band spirit that makes the agency so formidable.
Michael has an ability to produce campaigns that find the sweet spot between creative excellence and effectiveness, and his work on brands like Frank.net and Ster-Kinekor has led to campaigns that deliver both the Loerie Integrated Grand Prix, and Apex accolades simultaneously.
A love for creating branded content that enters popular culture, led to FoxP2 being ranked as the 2nd most creative agency in South Africa by the Gunn report in 2017, and secured him a spot on the judging panel at Cannes.
In his time at FoxP2, the agency has placed in the top 10 creative rankings every year, alongside agencies over 10 times its size, whilst consistently topping the Small Agency table.
A father, surfer and ex-gymnast, Michael believes in work-life balance and in finding inspiration from beyond his comfort zone.
