They say journalism is history on the run; Ufrieda Ho is a journalist and author who enjoys jogging along as the fantastic madness unfolds. After clocking up time abroad on a Commonwealth working holiday visa she returned to South Africa and has been freelancing since on various mainstream newspapers. As a features writer and photojournalist she contributes to a number of magazines in mainstream media as well as for specialist journals, trade and corporate publications and websites.

People and their stories of challenge, insight and triumph – especially as they play out in South Africa – inspire Ufrieda. She writes on issues ranging from lifestyle and culture to environment, education, health, social issues and current affairs.

Ufrieda also works as a sub-editor. She copy-edits, rewrites and repackages content for newspapers, newsletters and websites.
