AMASA’s Roger Garlick Awards align with MOST Awards

Hi there everyone!

AMASA is gearing up for change and is evolving to suit the new advertising and media environment. We’re going to give you a relevant and significant association that meets our mandate. AMASA’s primary focus has been, and always will be, on the education of people with an interest in the media, marketing and advertising industry with a view to improving knowledge and skill in media decision making techniques and their use.

Have a look at all our changes and plans for next year further into this newsletter!

The success of AMASA, as a Section 21 company, is largely driven through the passion, selflessness and energy of our committee, as well as your continued support of our association. This year the AMASA committee is balanced and representative of the whole industry. In previous years the committee composition was skewed toward media owners… this is no longer the case, with a 50/50 balance of media owner vs agency representation.

And what a committee we’ve got! The success we’ve achieved running all our educational initiatives, awards and fundraising events is testimony to the dedication that each committee member has contributed to their respective portfolios! They deserve a round of applause… and a Bells!

Demonstration of our success over the recent few years is that we were able to award eight AMASA Learnership Programme bursaries to AAA Media Management students this year.

A very big thank you also goes to our loyal sponsors, all of whom will be recognised under each relevant event in this newsletter.

We’ve put this newsletter together to give you a synopsis of our achievements and activities this year, and give you insight as to where we’re taking YOUR organisation. We’re hoping that this will reach a wider audience than usual, so please feel free to send this on to your clients and suppliers. The higher our membership, the more we can do to further education and skills development in the industry. We encourage membership from all sectors of the industry, from media owners, agencies, marketers to suppliers, so please spread the word.

Enjoy reading and catching up on the year through AMASA’s eyes. Have a safe and happy holiday season. We’re looking forward to seeing you in the new year!

Many thanks and regards
