The SpaceStation has committed to sponsoring the MOST Media Agency Rising Star Award for media agencies for the next three years. Wag the Dog Publishers are pleased to welcome The SpaceStation as a new sponsor of the annual MOST awards.

As the largest premium display advertising sales house in Southern Africa, representing more than fifty of Africa’s most popular web and mobile sites, The SpaceStation is perfectly placed to show public recognition of young, cutting-edge media agency talent through sponsoring this award. They have just been contracted to handle all advertising digital sales for Media24 magazines, increasing their portfolio substantially. Other brands that they represent are News24, MWEB, M-Net, SuperSport, PriceCheck, Food24 and Channel24.

The MOST Media Agency Rising Star Award is for media agency professionals under 40. An expert panel of judges will select a winner from the nominees. In order to ensure that the highest standards are upheld the rules have been tightened up this year, a person can only win the award once and the judges reserve the right not to present an award. Previous winners of this award include Chris Botha, Ryan Williams and Tanya Schreuder.

The following criteria will be considered when selecting a winner:

  • Strong strategist
  • Excellent planning skills
  • Destined to lead others
  • Developing a profile in the media agency sector
  • Self-motivator
  • Passionate
  • Challenges the status quo

“Industry wide recognition of outstanding media agency talent is an excellent initiative by the MOST Awards and we believe it fits The SpaceStation’s brand qualities closely. We wish all media agency  entrants in this award category all of the best,” said Gustav Goosen CEO of The SpaceStation.

The Media Agency Legend and Media Owner Rising Star Awards are open for new sponsorship this year and potential sponsors are invited to take these up on a first come first come basis.

The MOST Awards 2014 surveys are now live and voting will close on 30 June 2014. South Africa’s media owners, media agencies and advertisers are expected to participate in this nationwide survey of service excellence in the industry, founded by Wag the Dog Publishers and conducted by independent research house Freshly Ground Insights (FGI).

To vote, visit www.themediaonline.co.za and click on the MOST banner ad (featuring sheep) or button to complete the survey questionnaire.
