Wild magazine has won top honours at the 2014 SA Publication Forum Awards for publishing excellence. Wild was announced South Africa’s Top Corporate Publication of 2014 and was also named Best External Magazine (Category A) and joint winner of Excellence in Design, as well as runner-up for the Best Writing award.
Wild, the publication for Wild Card, a loyalty programme for Southern Africa’s premier conservation agencies (SANParks, CapeNature, Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife, Msinsi Resorts and Big Game Parks of Swaziland) is an invaluable guide to exploring their parks and reserves. The magazine is produced by Tip Africa Publishing.
“Wild has positioned itself as South Africa’s leading environmental and outdoor magazine,” said Wild editor Romi Boom. “Over the past seven years Wild’s commitment to spreading the conservation message has been unsurpassed in the local media. We have successfully positioned Wild as a must-read for anyone who is interested in wildlife, unspoilt areas and getting back to nature.
Each quarterly issue brings readers a wealth of wildlife material, in addition to numerous responsible tourism destinations, in tandem with digital media such as a monthly electronic newsletter and dynamic website that is updated daily.
“Wild revitalises commitment to our biodiversity heritage,” said Glenn Phillips, Managing Executive: Tourism at SANParks, which administers the Wild Card programme. “The magazine showcases conservation successes and lobbies for greater environmental responsibility.”
The SA Publication Forum is committed to improving and promoting corporate publications in South Africa.
